Community Services, Alcohol and Other Drugs Work

Odyssey House Victoria is offering accredited training in a range of Health and Community Services Alcohol and Other Drugs Work in 2007. The courses include competencies which are now regarded as essential qualifications for all workers in the AOD sector and are especially useful to workers in other sectors (eg, Youth, Welfare, Children’s Services, and Family Welfare), in the Allied Health Sector. Providing an orientation to the AOD sector plus essential skills in assessment and working with clients with AOD issues. All units meet the competency standards of the AQTF and Certificates and Diplomas have national recognition.

Courses will be delivered online, face-to-face, and blended online with face-to-face tutorials.

The range of courses includes:

  • Orientation to the Alcohol and other Drugs Sector (online only)
  • Statement of Attainment: Four Core Competencies (online only)
  • Four Core Competencies Bridging Course (online only)
  • Certificate IV Community Services, Alcohol and other Drugs Work (face to face and online)
  • Diploma in Community Services, Alcohol and other Drugs Work (face to face and online)

Certificate I, II and III in Business Administration

Courses in Business Administration meet the NTIS and AQTF requirements. Content includes data management, accounts, workplace safety, communication in the workplace, creating electronic presentations, and other administrative/business units.
